Birds happy at last
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Our birds love their top flight feeder. Their old one was also a top flight that with held many cod winters & very hot summers. I don’t remember how many years ago we got the last one I think it was about 15 yrs old when the plastic plate forms for the birds feet gave way from the rough elements. We all hope the new one holds up as well. Jody
Don’t waste your money

I purchased this feeder at the end of December. I knew it wouldn’t be copper, but it is still attractive. I wanted a 3-tube feeder to hold a large quantity of seed since I have squirrels and pigeons feeeding, much to my dismay.
Well, here it is 3 months later and the feeder is gone. It apparently unscrewed itself and crashed to the ground breaking it beyond repair. Even before its demise the feeder ports kept closing to the thistle seed position which halted feeding of the sunflower seed. I had intended to glue them in position when the weather turned warmer; however, that is no longer necessary. In short, don’t waste your money.
Topflight 7103-2 Copper Triple Tube Bird Feeder
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Not so happy with this particular version of this bird feeder, as the bird seed tends to run out as fast as you fill it. I had an earlier version of a triple tube feeder by Topflight for several years, and the feeding ports on that feeder did not have this problem. That particular birdfeeder was destroyed in a thunderstorm w/ torrential winds. I was hoping this version of the feeder would replace my original one, but the ports are a problem.

I have had umpteen bird feeders over the years…. this one is THE best !!!! I am going to order a second one so when I take the feeder down to clean it out I have another ready to go up so as to NOT interrupt feeding for the birds. The wide domed lid keeps the squirrels from feeding here…. I use the bottom tray to put peanuts in…. it is WELL built… easy to refill….. LOVE it !!!
Junk Plastic Bird Feeder
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
A piece of plastic junk. Copper? Not much. Dome and tray are plastic. Not enough copper to be referred to as copper. Tray won’t stay attached to bottom thus dropping all the seed on the ground. Poor plastics clips to hold bottom tray. They won’t hold it. The COPPER (Plastic) dome is warped looking like a cheap piece of plastic. Where can I send it back? Looks like the garbage can to me. DON’T BUY THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!
So far, great

I especially like the funnel-like expansion at the top of the tubes that catches stray seeds as they are poured in. The eyelet at the top could be a bit bigger so that I could fit my little finger through it when carrying the feeder. With the hood on, its awkward to carry otherwise.

RECEIVED THE FEEDER SUPER FAST. SURE MADE THE BIRDS HAPPY. THE FEEDER IS EXACTLY AS PICTURED. I HAD THE SAME FEEDER IN SILVER FOR YEARS UNTIL THE SQUIRRELS ATE THE TOP OFF AND THE FEEDER CAME CRASHING DOWN. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS FEEDER.
excellent feeder

i could not be happier with my choice of a bird feeder.well constructed, large tubes and no more seeds all over the ground.large canopy shields tubes from rain and snow. i highly recommend this feeder gbw
Worked great until the squirrels destroyed it

This was a great feeder, very popular with the birds, for the first several weeks, but once the squirrels figured out how to get to it, it was doomed. They ate the little doors off the plastic ports, meaning seed could spill everywhere, and eventually they chewed the plastic dome all the way around the metal hanging ring, so the entire feeder fell to the ground, leaving only a metal ring hanging there. This was a valuable lesson! I replaced it with a feeder with NO PLASTIC PARTS whatsoever. Just a metal hanger isn’t enough!
BEWARE of buying this!

I purchased one of these feeders in late August, 2009 and in less than 3 weeks, one of the cheap plastic flip gates (that control seed delivery at each of the ports) had either broken off or a bird or squirrel had eaten it, and I can now only fill that tube half way (it was an upper port), because the seeds spill out of the open port. I wrote the company at the address listed in their warranty information and the letter was returned by the Post Office as undeliverable. Either the address is phony or the company has gone out of business or moved without leaving any forwarding address. I am now stuck with a feeder that is operational on 2 1/2 tubes, for which I paid nearly $60.
My advice – find another feeder to buy! Looks good, but if it breaks you are stuck!
Thank You

Wish the catch tray was optional

I have used a single tube Opus top flight feeder for years. Birds love it. A wonderful product but I could not find it in the single tube any longer, so I finally broke down and bought the triple tube. I cannot comment about squirrels because we do not have that problem. The top provides rain protection and seems to keep the seed much drier. The single tube was always growing mold or seed sprouts and was harder to clean. However, perhaps the feeder should come with tube plugs for optional use without the catch tray. I say this because the doves have taken over. The backyard was in perfect sync before as the small birds used the tube feeder and the doves remained below as cleanup crew. Doves cannot use the perches but they sit on the tray and devour everything in sight and chase away the small birds (looks intentional) with their flapping wings and flying about in a frenzy. Therefore, I would like to have kept the balance as it was with doves on the ground and small birds on the perches. The doves are feeder bullies, quite messy, and I need to find a way to plug up the feeder bottoms. I have found no other tube feeder that the birds like so well as this Opus.
The Triple Tube Bird Feeder

This is a great improvement over the previous design which ultimately failed due squirrel attacks.
The greatest thing is the seed capacity.
The instructions for switching to the thistle feed option is lacking.
excellent birdfeeder

This bird feeder by Opus is the absolute best available Topflight® 7103-2 Copper Triple Tube Bird Feeder. The squirrels cannot get to the birdseed and the birds easily can. You can load it up with 3 types of seed or just one type in all three cylinders. The plastic lid and base are a beautiful copper tone and do not look cheesy. I am very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys watching and feeding birds.
Best large feeder out there
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve bought and built many, many feeders in the last 25 or so years. This one is simply the best, prettiest and most rugged one I’ve ever owned…and certainly best one for the price. I bought this one to replace the last (Silver version) one I had. The reason I had to replace it after 12 years was a construction project went awry and it was knocked down and partially crushed by a large excavator. Since the last one I owned, they updated the tubes and added small doors to allow your own choice of small thistle seed or large Sunflower seed in any or all of the three tubes. Nice touch! This product is ALL Pros and NO Cons.
I’m actually looking for a good place in the yard to add another one. ‘Nuff said.
